I must really be frustrated enough to be typing this in the middle of editting my script for my presentation tomorrow in the office.

I dislike (border hate) people who won't listen to others opinion especially in a group. f*** it la control freak, it is related to the part I am presenting and you won't hear shyt of what I have found and what I have to say?

Fine. Because the other groupmates have been patient and are willing to let your insanely stubborn to other's views' attitude slide, I will swallow it.

It is going to bite you when you least know it. No damned respect.

just an update

hmmm...tho I said I would update..am not sure what to update about =S

[random thoughts]
Went for a vaccination yesterday and asked the doc some stuff. he said I am stressed =_=||| I may have been depressed but certainly not stressed!

If you know me well enough you should know I don't use that word at all. I put pressure on myself once in a while but that's all for some personal challenge. Speaking of which.. exams are just around the corner.

Finished my last internal paper just now (taxation) should turn out good, hoping for a full 5% there. As always, once I get the hang of a tough unit it's already near the end~ well there is still finals to prove and test my understand so fighting on!

I still and always will miss my only loves. My dear rabbits, especially Snuffles, and Rocky.

stranded at SOB

Miri was going through a bad time with the thick haze and open fire so artificial rain was made. There is a strange cut-off point for those, the rain never reached my house =_= All last week these rain were made until natural rain fell upon us.

Last Thursday morning, it came down hard. Suppose to be great news for us however... us poor students @ SOB building got STRANDED! How so? my non-curtin friends may ask. Well the designers here are so smart. The old buildings and the year old SOB building are connected by a pathway. full stop. Mind you, the pathway are those annoying medium sized gaps between steps kind too.

I had a long break that morning so I went across the path to 'rescue' a friend who got stranded at SOB side with my trusty umbrella and a borrowed one. haha. What a way to end my day before week free kicked in.

just a nice date

ah.. left this place dead-ish again. wonder if anyone reads my little corner here? Why update tonight? well it's 8th of 8th, nice date.

Once again early this sem, I helped out the O-week team [good job all!] as a CV, and then for the CV gathering was computer gal [prep backdrop + jaga comp on the day] + game master partner for the "Act it Out" game.

Had the most expensive start of my sem!!! rm650 for taxation books + rm290 for 2nd hand finance analysis textbook T___T [I am really crying my heart out]

2nd week of the 2nd sem of 2009 has ended and I have yet to properly start my engine...pushing off into the fast lane 2moro onwards tho, there are assignments to do, lab tests and mid-sem exams to prep for.

Tonight was the appreciation dinner for the SOARs and student ambassadors. It was so-so to me...too big of a group and it was a long table dinner. Made it hard to see and talk to everyone, most of them didn't even see me till near the end of the meal. Overall it wasn't as happening as I hoped it be [need to lower my expectations here]. This is purely from my POV however. Hopes go to the future group.

Had a lot of thoughts swimming in my head, had a lot to express but...? I appreciate the much longed for attention and heart-to-heart talk with my cherished friends. msn has been a colourless/chatless place for days before now... to the point I miss my late night chats so much I dare not log in sometimes for fear of no chat mates... [yes I too can be emo]

finally end of 2nd year 1st sem

yesh~ I finally finished my last paper after a week's worth of waiting while so many others announced their freedom! It's not a paper I am proud of, I felt like I did really badly and it was my last law unit too =( being an open book exam, we spent wasteful time flipping notes so I ended up writing crap for the last 2 essays T_T For now I am just going to put this at the back of my mind to reflect on when the results come out (no use now right?)
After exams, I walked around campus searching for familiar faces and lookie there~ Azfan and Zat haha. So I sat down and just talked with them while they discussed on the next CV gathering. I am gonna be the cameraman =D hehe I am on the list anyways, suppose have to wait for confirmation or something :)

Had a nice webcam session with sis passing the mic from mum to dad and myself. Then I got a phone call from a dear friend! It's been way too long since we played catch up especially on the phone ^^ so nice to hear you again JJ~ we had a looong chat of over an hour. The last time I did that was back in NS! Thanks for always being there. Just so you know, I am not typing this just because you said you are gonna read my blog!!! xD lol it was just awesome~

Now then, exams are over, what am I going to do?
First on the list: clean room and house.
Second on the list: Clean Rocky (stinky needs a bath =D)
Daily task: vigorous exercise. I am determined to show some weight lost in this month!
Side project: jog to Jo's house during weekend (pending approval xD)
27th June: Visit Old Folks home and help out!
July: Rainforest World Music Festival in Kuching!!!

This has been my toughest semester yet, meeting head on with my other major's basics I know I have a lot more to learn but this is life. No giving up and no backing up!

I have not done so badly since 2003 and that subject wasn't even in English. I feel dejected, shocked and ashamed... and Traxx FM's playlist seemed to mock me all the way while I drove home. From Mercy to Drift to Friends and Have a Nice Day (this last one really made me feel oh-so-sarcastic)...
For those who were there while I ranted, sorry, I tried to stop but seems like I can't control that part of my nature yet.
I am not into self-motivation over-used quotes but I will knock senses into my head this study week one way or another. I will not fail.

we all know we shouldn't

yup, I am talkin bout last minute attitude with assignments. I never liked it but why is it human (student) nature to procrastinate for as long as we can before we hit the due date? I wouldn't want to go for another 2k law essay in one day spin ever again that's for sure @.@ will have to better manage my next dunno-when-but-upcoming assignment haha.
A lot to look forward to this week x) first up is in 24 hours hehe, then the Jazz fest and of course there is meeting up with Bal again =D yup yup~~ gonna do lotsa pre-work before Thursday so I can enjoy this weekend ^^

...

hmmm, so I haven't updated in ages. Been lazy, it's part of student life. Into 2nd week of study week now and my progress?

1- Acct sys lab test prep, check.
2- b.stats lab arse (minus 1 question) check.
3- the feared Fin215 mid-term prep....- in progress
4- Law arse - untouched
5- Acct sys mid-term prep - untouched

Yeaaaaah, so much for study week >> I know I know no excuse for being lazy. I spent the first week doing nothing. The past 2 days on the 1+2 on the list and today was suppose to be for my Fin but last night had a sharp pain in my ankle so mum took me to doc's to check it out. Got meds to repair and strengthen the tendons so hope all goes well but doc warned that that ankle needs extra care now since it's the 2nd time sprained =(

Pissh, enough of that. Dropped over at the Luak Mini Mart and guess what was there? =D
It's big.
It's red.
Always a smile there.
There for you when you are sleepy (most peeps anyways)
It's.... it's....

It was a 1 Now 1 New Nescafe truck XD love em free coffee (tho makes me sleepy :])

Haha! Tomorrow I shall fight, fight for my Fin215, for it's all about $$$!!!

1 year

After recovering from my cough..I went and got myself into another silly situation..me twisted me right ankle againnnn >< Thankies to Bal, Ian and Ham for the initial first-aid =) I can walk and all now but still swollen like like...what Jun said, like a bun haha! Got it checked by a Chinese medicine man (he made imprints on my foot O.o) Hopefully can drive meself to campus on Tuesday haha. Owh owh, mustn't forget, many thankies to Jun Jun for letting me squat at your house ;D

Anyways~ It's been a whole year since my own O-Night, now I feel old :P Time and gone and passed and this week felt the longest yet! Couldn't do much after the twist on Thursday but the ending to O-week felt great on Tribe Nite, the tribes really showed off what they could do in the little time they had, really impressed with what some of them gave us :D Good to know both sides of how it works ^^ hahahaa, hopefully can join and make the next O-week a bigger bigger blast =)

Though I wasn't there all the time, I am proud of me little tribe, a little tribe called Horas for foundation week [Horas, We Can! xD] And for those in Hakuna Matata, seeya fellas around campus~

Will probably come back and post some pics later later haha :P

*many pokes*

hit the revision button

ahaha, I know, I have been lazy to update again :P sooo~ the floods got worst after CNY but it's been 3 days without rain so far so things are looking up :) guessing that Curtin's lakeside bridges are still unusable tho. haha, here is a lookie from last week~

see the bridge? lol, got this view from the road. Poor new students, I see the campus tour now "You will be able to use the bridges once the water settles down, give it a day or two :)" haha, j/k. Don't think the water level will stay high till that long~

Exams are coming up on Wednesday~ am I ready? Almost. I am 50% there, gonna get another 25% done today and the last 25% on Tuesday is the big brush up. Yosssh!!!

Oh, on another note, have fun those of you who transfered to Perth campus :D

In Curtin for summer course... update!

Ahaha, yea, been a while since the last update. Well here I am =) I am currently taking summer course for a higher degree of Accounting known as the 250. Been having 10 hours of class a week, 4hrs, 4hrs, 2hrs for 2 weeks now @.@ The workload is still bearable and under control as long as I do before hand =)

As most of you know, Malaysia is going through strange continuous rain for the pass weeks (barely had enough sunshine to dry clothes in a day).
Curtin Sarawak campus area is the worst I have seen since the whole area are either drain or lake-connected-to-river. So what do we get?

From the roads of Senadin: (cars were driving slowly and I was in a jam thus had time for the pics :P I drive safe ^^)

the drain water was almost up to the road

On campus:

poor uprooted tree =( the gardeners got it up now tho =)

And saving the best for the last: (see if you recognise these places Curtinans :D)

yes, that is the Island! check out the water level from the lamp post O.o

Here is the best part, how high is it actually?? Here is a lookie:

spot the bridge at the top left corner? (zooms out)

Gilar eh? The whole pathway from the apartments to the campus is under the water O.o I seriously didn't believe my eyes until I walked all the way to the area after G3 (and it was still raining). The condition hasn't changed for a week plus now. Really wonder (and hope) that the water level will go down before the new semester starts *imagines the shocked new students looks* not a good image.

On the bright side, CNY is coming soon :D and we have a whole week off from class ^-^ thankies and hats off to the lecturer for fixing the timetable for us. Domo arigatou =D

end of 1st year

Gah finally~ final exams, 1st year 2nd semester is OVER!!! XD waited a long time for this moment, a lot of last minute cramming this time but it seemed like the more I tried the harder it was to remember this time, very odd indeed. However I spent a great amount of time on my Marketing 100 and only during revision week did most of the concepts hit me as well... a very long string all attached 1 way or another and I finally understood after a whole semester of blurness in the topics!! haha~
I was excited about my Law Contract, a unit I really want to excel in not only for myself but for my brilliant lecturer (she is an angel!). She made Law into a giant storybook (and I am a giant bookworm XD) and I am going to miss her bad =(
Economics and Accounting Managerial was both on the last day O.o so yesh, I didn't spend my time wisely enough and panicked the night before, thank you dad for the superb review for my economics ^^

In the exam hall, freezing my fingers off, I counted down the time. My heart beat so fast thinking, knowing, waiting for my 1st year, the first 1/3 of my University life, to be over and at 5.40pm I looked up at the timer and woopped for joy. The end of 1st year has come XXDD

It's been a great 1st year, long yet short, busy and yet enjoyable. I am looking ever forward to year 2 and whatever it brings I will brace myself and do the very best I can to excel in my studies as well as have fun ^-----^v

A long day but well worth the memories made

27th September, most definitely a day not to forget! Started early in the morning at 8am. Packed up and got ready... for what? Accounting Managerial 101 presentation! After days of practice and much work put in we were finally going to present! So 9am sharp Fair showed up at my door...to Rocky :P haha~ so I drove to campus and waited a bit for Vic to arrive. Once he did we headed into the library's discussion room (love these). We had up to 4 times of run through practice but it seemed like only the 1st run went super smoothly! Fair was consistent, mine got worst with each time and Vic...hmmm, got more worried and slipped up even more.
At 11am we headed into the room and waited for our turn... and waited... our nerves really played with us by the time it was our turn... the last group...after 3 long hours of waiting! But, I felt that we did a super job being the closing group although only 4 groups stuck around to see us. After watching so many people present the same discussion question it was natural for us to be nervous...especially since all their points are the same...and we stuck out as being totally different!! Made me proud to be the group leader when Mr. Anba praised us XD wakakaka!!!

Haha, then after our presentation, Fair bundled back into my car then we fetched Shu Na [came along with me coz we were going for prom together ;)] All the way back she slept in the back seat (sooo cute XD) Once we reached home, she hit off with my mum =) [sorry lar, my Chinese is rusty] a quick rest and shower later we head off to the saloon to get our hair done~ Annie's place, I adore the place now~ since I was a kid I always went there for hair cuts, first time there for styling tho ^-^ great choice =D I was soooo satisfied with what I got (tho my mum said it looked like a chicken's tail lolz)

Rushed home and had my mum put on the makeup for me with help from Shu Na :P haha, told her it's too light but haha ah well~ and just as I was going to put on my dress the boys [Ham and Irwin] showed up ^.^ haha, had Ed entertain them while me and Shu Na dressed up~ It was cute how they all stepped on the weighting scale before leaving lol!! And we were off =D

Reached EastWood around...6.30pm and was awed by the people I saw, right off the bat was Ian with his usual smile :D then there was Maaaay! XD lol! We headed off to the cocktail party (the pre-prom if you will) and I had grape wine (very strong too and since we were all on empty-stomach :P) Met lotsa people XD ekeke~

The grand ball room was...grand =) ahaha, the food was nice, the music not so much since the mics were off tune, the people were great and it was fun =D Lotsa pics taken ^^ check them out in facebook =D ekeke. At the end, the dance floor was too small but we made the best out of it. Nelson was one heck of a singer as always hehe.

All in all, it was nice~ much better than my A lvls time haha and I did enjoy myself tho it would seem like I zoned out now and then (gomen ne!) Many thanks for the drive all the way here and sending me back.

fuuuuu~ what a day!

20th September, a day I won't forget in a long long time :P Started the morning with my Accounting Managerial 101 exam, I was so tense from the mcq questions, 50 in 1.5 hours. But I finished before time =) just made 1 known silly mistake at the mo =-= High hopes to score high! =D

Right after the exam, I headed to the LT foyer to join the registration group for the 5th CPA-Curtin Undergraduate Business Conference. It was pretty cool, how we actually managed to get 177 students to participate in just 1 week! woot! It was mission impossible fulfilled! 8 students came from Swinburne Kuching =) 2 from IBS (poor boys, heard they were ignored >< bad president)

In my opinion tho, the conference wasn't that much of a success as many found the morning topics to be too boring. Dr. Adeline really saved the day with her personality test after lunch =D After that I stayed outside coz...I bumped into our lovely Fernleaf! XD So we chatted and chatted away as she waited for her dear dear so they could study haha.

I must say, being a non-participant this time around makes me see a lot...how the students complain bout the shirt size (first come first serve basis and they know this) and not enough food (this is understand to be too much of an under-estimation on our side >< sorry hungry people!). Only 4 who signed up didn't show up which was a huge shock for the seniors who expect an average of 40+ to not show up!!!

After the conference, we cleaned up the LT and took lotsa pics =D Then we bundled into Vic's car (many thanks~) coz poor Gil's car had a punctured tyre! Fortunately he had it replaced in time to pick me, Yuki and her housemate to dinner =P

Owh dinner, it was super yummy at Yi-Har-Hai!!! XD Sea cucumber soup, kailan, lemon chicken, mixed vege+toufu, butter crab and fried sotong ...p= We, a table of 9 girls, pretty much beat everyone else's tables at finishing the food XD Girl power wei~ we were so keng XD lol!!!

After dinner the gang went to the Public Park (like 2-4 mins from my house >>) to show the Swinburne kids around, I headed home~ after shower and a sleep attempt to play Wall E I konked out and zzzzzz hehe, life is good~

CV bintang fund raising and mooncake festival!

Weeee~ felt like updating, will get to all the other events before today probably after my exams and hectic moment T_T gomen!!!

So today is the big day, amongst my assignment kicking, presentation prep and revision, I have taken today to volunteer myself to the Samboi Queen (previously Lemonade Queen)! We had games: pop those balloons!, ring around the bottles, be a magician, sudoku and guess the books. We had cakes and biscuits and we had samboi drink.
Went to Parkson at 9.30am sharp and started the unpacking and arranging at the drinks table. First we had to boil water coz only hot water can bring out the 'true' taste of the samboi+lime. Poured 1 mini-bucket of concentrated syrup into the giant metal tong + 1 gallon of water to dilute it (and even then it was still concentrated!! way to go Samboi Queen xD).
And then the ice arrived....without a place to store them >_< we resorted to just leaving 2 bags of the ice on the floor... bad move. The melted ice spilled out on the floor and after mopping up after it twice I just couldn't be bothered, my right shoe was soaked and business wasn't so well for a good first hour [it was only rm$1!!]
The mak cik was sorta scolding us for not preparing a bucket or something to keep the ice bags, sad thing was I didn't understand Sarawakian so I just stared blankly and gave an uncertain smile [CV! mah, whatever happens smile!!] Thank goodness after 2 rounds of frowns and scolding a fellow member of the drinks section borrowed buckets from the toilet attendant! [many thanks yo!] After a quick mop after, the water stayed in the bucket and the scoldings stopped hahaha!
Our drinks department didn't do as well as we hope, probably coz it was puasa time and mooncake festival so there weren't many people around. We sold around 90 or so drinks and still had leftovers so since sharing is caring, the rest was tapau-ed back XD hahaha, Orange was especially happy, hugging the tong of samboi drink since early afternoon! lmao!!!

Anyways, Vincent was our main MC for the day and he did a good job however his mic was outshown by the infamous Ian XD lol! He really lit up the place from the beginning, starting from the CV! cheer =D We had a lot of curious stares when we did the cheer but it brought our spirit up ^^
I loved the dances!!! They were the bomb! Ophe and Mich were especially H.O.T!! XD lol~ They can really move! woots!! haha. The new dance was cuteeee~ would love to learn the moves to that one =D hehe.

YB Lee came for the closing ceremony and hmm, well let's just say I will be collecting more newspaper clippings XD hehe, we cheered on and on with lots of camwhoring to celebrate the new record for the Bintang Fund Raising's donation amount! wootz! It's been really fun and the experience is worth it anyday, anytime ^^

Tonight, Jovis they all came over for dinner and boy I was stuffed with baked chicken p= Many thanks couz for the help in finally getting the dress disciplined! XD (what do I mean? you will have to find out on the 27th ;D) Had a short camwhoring session with her in my room, will get the pics asaic ('as soon as I can' lar XD)

Hahahahaha, excuse the hyper-ness, just had yummy yum yum DURIAN XD Owh and I finally got a CV! t-shirt XD Extra weeeeeeeeeeee~ Night peeps!! buahaha!

Curtin Carnival~

finally posting this, lagging gomen!

After so many days and time the day finally came. The whole day was...painful to sum up from my pov. My idle committees saw to that. At first weee in the morning, they were pumped, we were ready and felt like our roses and drinks won't last till that long....boy were we wrong.

Although we had 150 roses left of the 200 to sell on the day, it wasn't that good, especially since the crowd wasn't all that interested in roses and there weren't many students either since it was week free. By around 4pm, we were worried, and by 5pm, we were desperate, cutting the prices to the original cost. It was a nothing else to lose situation, we just wanted to sell them off!
Sad thing for this carnival (my very first too!) is that I didn't have fun... I didn't even see all the stalls, I didn't get to watch performances I was waiting to see, I sat at the stall and ran around to sell the roses... I simply felt detached at the end. To make it worst, my crews were, disappointing, only...well 1 of them was dependable, the others just sat back or disappeared. I had so much hate that day...

On the bright side.... Yuki was happy, it was her birthday and she received many roses in return for her hard work. Plucking the rose thorns all night is very hard work especially those red roses!!! So ladies, if a guy does it himself and give them to you be SUPER grateful!!! I have learned a lot from this and well, lets just say I would like to be a normal student to see everything next year~
Here I shall put some pics up ^^

Birthday Girl =D

proud handy work

ok~ so I got roses too =) they hang dried and nice smelling now

never would have made it without my mum~ my thanks for your support ^---^

mou shiranai

aiks, gomen gomen, such a long time since my last update =-= hmm, lets see, what have I done in this past week...
Classes went by as usual, I have been nodding off in more classes than I want to (sorry Mr. Anba!). Everyone is hyped and tense about assignments and group projects and adding to all those we have to prepare for the Curtin Carnival next week.
My first time having to organise an event and it's a shock to me on how hard and simple some things can be but one thing is for sure...it sucks up my time like there is no tomorrow. So many decisions, so many assumptions and so much hope for all to be well... Thank you my committee members for your hard work! *bows*

[ad break]
If you are from Miri please attend our Curtin Carnival next Saturday on the 30th!~ Accounting Club will be selling fresh healthy lemon drinks and beautiful Roses for charity. Dedicate some to your friends, teachers and admirers! We will thank you for your support =D

[break over]

Ah aside from that, my cousin stayed with me for the past 4 days~ It was nice to bug and play with him ^^ ehehe~

Poor Rocky, he has 3 holes in his leg from some dog fight out there =( Was limping around yesterday, got my mum really worried so I had to carry him in at night when he refused to come in. He is getting better now but still slightly limping, showering him with food goodness and manja-ing whenever I can now~

Had a de-stressing session yesterday with Ham and Pleasure at Boulevard :P Had KCF. Went lime shopping to make drinks coz there is a charity drive (I think) XD lol! It was a fun time after all the (can't believe I am saying this) stress we had to go through. Took a few pics too, pending now =D ekeke~

Made a to-do list for this free week:
1) settle club activities [banner, letters ect]
2) assignments
3) finish off my tutorial homeworks
4) brush up on all units for mid-term
5) have fun in between [swimming with the gang, jogging with Rocky ect]

Yeah, a strange to-do list but that's me =)

shock in...my car porch

had a great afternoon talking shyt and crazy stuff with the gang. All coz May (sister-in-law and standard of CV!) decided to ask, "When will George come out?" So as the nature of the majority of us Crazy Volunteers we twist the meaning a bit XD lol! When George finally finished his class, I started lol-ing and said, "Lookie! Georgie came out May!...and it only took 15 minutes!!" rofl!!! It was really obvious to the gang what we were talking about and it went all the more Hamsap from there!!! XD Kelvin was there and Ian joined in later :P It went on for well over an hour! haha, great afternoon guys =D Plus finally got something to be done for the CC! whuuuzzzah!

I came home in the evening and got a super shocking news from my bro which I absolutely didn't believe until I saw it with my own eyes...Rocky...has been...sheltering a...a kitten!!! I was totally O__o then =___= as the kitten walked around my porch with a much bigger doggie sniffing her so I carried her out and back to the neighbour's where she should be. Tonight, after my duties in the kitchen I went out to check on Rocky and O___O I found THIS there...

It's like walau eh! No wonder people have been commenting that Rocky lost weight! Totally unexpected from you boy! Letting a kitten eat from your bowl! If only he wasn't camera shy :P He went over to sniff the kitten everytime I touched her, haha jealous fella but runs away when he sees the camera XD And this kitten...well all I can say now is that I believe I will be seeing more of her from now on >>

me, dear Rocky and Furball :P

frustration

Why can't things ever be simpler? I don't see any other clubs leaving the newbies alone to get things done for such a big event. No proper guidelines, simply dumping the duties with YOUR ideas, deadlines rushing up into our faces and yet nothing has been done aside from planning and you want me to "learn"? Learn what? "We will find time" When? "Start promoting the goods" How?

I have more than just responsibility in my life, I choose to live a better, freer life, more full with activities which I actually want and enjoy! I don't mind working, I don't mind being tired out, I don't mind having to spend a lot time...as long as I get to ENJOY and be HAPPY with what I do!!! I do not like to be a whiner, and I hate quiting but if I see it as a way to my personal health (mentally and physically) I will do it so mark my words. I have not promised anything so I am not bound by anything, I am only being fair to myself. No point beating myself over with a gaint stick if no one else appreciates it...

I am depressed, I am full of pent up frustration, I am sick and tired. And assignment due dates are approaching faster than anyone will realise, soon Uni life will just pass by in a blink of an eye and I don't want to only then realise that I have not taken the right steps to satisfy my inner wants for joy and a happier time...
