all smiles!

Aaaaaaaaaah~ long time no update! :) everyday was about the same for the pass weeks so been putting off haha. Well I am happy today so just popping in for a bit =)

When I am at work I sit in front of the laptop 4hours straight, 1 hour break then 4hours straight again. So I stay away when I get home. Been watching tv and just sitting downstairs more since I started and I don't mind one bit~ shows how much I miss out from being with the family when I sit up here for hours on end.


Christmas day may have passed but really this is the most gift filled time I have ever had! My first new first-hands :D an uber winter coat, a slick handphone, a cool sling bag, and a pair of...Go-Stop 'tong' socks! XD on top of that I now own a pair of blings, a camera, a wallet and PJs! :D geh I feel spoiled! X) eheheheheh loves and thankies for the lovely choices of gifts!!! muaks~

It's only day 2 but I haven't gone on all day without strange sleep hours for the longest time! err yea, normal hours for working people is making my system go haywire @.@ my eyes are shutting as I type this but I refuse to sleep before it even hits 9pm!... (maybe if it's near 10pm =O=)

So far, I have been pleasantly surprised by what trainee's are allowed to do =) This is really a taste of working life X]

On another note... I am so glad I trusted the right brand for formal clothes, it really saved me even when it malfunctioned! hahaha, ask me if you wanna know!! (yea, I am curious to see who actually reads this. Noticed I did the same last post?)

In my next post I think I will type about why I type the way I do here. Unless something more interesting comes up that is :] Come Saturday come! nyahha!!!

firsts

yup, lotsa of it this week!

Started with the first time I finished an exam paper super early (may all go well), first time sleeping pass 12pm here (ahaha ;^^), first time going to KB just to eat and come back (many many super thanks! XD), first time getting a chest X-ray (haha excuse me for being uber curious before :P), first time this semester my other bed is clear of all other stuff cept the book I am currently reading and the air-con remote (I had a LOT of books around), first time I tore a picture apart (makes one wonder no?), first time clearing everything I have left of my Curtin notes from start till now (I am a keeper, hardly ever threw anything away) and lastly, first time getting a new luggage bag for my travel...

My room is all clean, from the fan to the floor to the table and the beds. Already it's feeling slightly emptier... and I haven't even packed yet. My biggest first has yet to come. Excited? Nervous? There is a mixture of everything as I step everyday into the unknown. After all, life without the unknown isn't living at all.

*scratch head* uug it's late but I decided to just post this up for now. It's post-exam for almost everyone and they are either on holiday or packing up to go home. Happy holidays. As for me, I am just waiting for next week for a hopefully fresh new experience.

I actually typed some stuff here but the feeling to post it faded as I typed. Just decided it's not worth mentioning anymore coz it's obvious why. And no I am not emo =_=||| Will just leave the post title the way it is to remind myself not to bother. Curious to know? Have a chat with me: msn, fb or in person if you want.

Alarm bells might be ringing for 'exams are near' or 'it's almost end of the year' being first day of the 11th month. But...it has more meaning than just that to me! Today is a very dear friend's 21st Birthday!!! Happy Birthday Jia Jen =) As always it was great to talk to you~ see you soon!

Went for a vaccination yesterday and asked the doc some stuff. he said I am stressed =_=||| I may have been depressed but certainly not stressed!

If you know me well enough you should know I don't use that word at all. I put pressure on myself once in a while but that's all for some personal challenge. Speaking of which.. exams are just around the corner.

Finished my last internal paper just now (taxation) should turn out good, hoping for a full 5% there. As always, once I get the hang of a tough unit it's already near the end~ well there is still finals to prove and test my understand so fighting on!




I still and always will miss my only loves. My dear rabbits, especially Snuffles, and Rocky.

Pent up too long?

Thinking back too much can be...very negative. One thought which won't leave my head now is "don't use me just because I care then dump me aside when it's over". I need a fresh start before year end..

Too many personalities come with being a Gemini (so I feel) have I let too many dominate already? When will I find the ideal me? Have I been thinking too much...maybe.

stranded at SOB

Miri was going through a bad time with the thick haze and open fire so artificial rain was made. There is a strange cut-off point for those, the rain never reached my house =_= All last week these rain were made until natural rain fell upon us.

Last Thursday morning, it came down hard. Suppose to be great news for us however... us poor students @ SOB building got STRANDED! How so? my non-curtin friends may ask. Well the designers here are so smart. The old buildings and the year old SOB building are connected by a pathway. full stop. Mind you, the pathway are those annoying medium sized gaps between steps kind too.

I had a long break that morning so I went across the path to 'rescue' a friend who got stranded at SOB side with my trusty umbrella and a borrowed one. haha. What a way to end my day before week free kicked in.

just a nice date

ah.. left this place dead-ish again. wonder if anyone reads my little corner here? Why update tonight? well it's 8th of 8th, nice date.

Once again early this sem, I helped out the O-week team [good job all!] as a CV, and then for the CV gathering was computer gal [prep backdrop + jaga comp on the day] + game master partner for the "Act it Out" game.

Had the most expensive start of my sem!!! rm650 for taxation books + rm290 for 2nd hand finance analysis textbook T___T [I am really crying my heart out]

2nd week of the 2nd sem of 2009 has ended and I have yet to properly start my engine...pushing off into the fast lane 2moro onwards tho, there are assignments to do, lab tests and mid-sem exams to prep for.

Tonight was the appreciation dinner for the SOARs and student ambassadors. It was so-so to me...too big of a group and it was a long table dinner. Made it hard to see and talk to everyone, most of them didn't even see me till near the end of the meal. Overall it wasn't as happening as I hoped it be [need to lower my expectations here]. This is purely from my POV however. Hopes go to the future group.

Had a lot of thoughts swimming in my head, had a lot to express but...? I appreciate the much longed for attention and heart-to-heart talk with my cherished friends. msn has been a colourless/chatless place for days before now... to the point I miss my late night chats so much I dare not log in sometimes for fear of no chat mates... [yes I too can be emo]

Excellent super action packed movie. Left me excited and happy to have gone to watch it. Been a while since I watched a great movie. And Megan Fox was sizzling at her opening appearance [lotsa guys turned into wolves then]. There was a lot of perverted-ness and plenty of jokes to go around.
It was an awesome night out and owh... Thanks for the ice-cream treat!!! =]

inner thoughts...

have I been a heartless being? to a degree I admit it. I was hurt too many times as a child growing up. Now when I look back, that is probably why I act so tough now. It has always been my mask, a wall to protect myself from the bitter loneliness of being left out. A nobody, a shadow, the bullied and the misunderstood.
I had no real friends who stayed true.
To cover it up I pretended to be happy, talkative and kept active with imaginations or else I might have gone insane for wanting to be a part of something.
The 5 years in secondary school allowed me to shine true to myself. I belonged somewhere, I had a circle of friends, people who openly talked to me, the good and the bad, who stayed true to themselves.
Isolation happened again when I went to college as I watched others enjoy themselves, I did not know why I punished myself and tested the grounds with my other personalities. In the end, I found some friends who saw me for who I am and accepted me no matter how ugly it was.

finally end of 2nd year 1st sem

yesh~ I finally finished my last paper after a week's worth of waiting while so many others announced their freedom! It's not a paper I am proud of, I felt like I did really badly and it was my last law unit too =( being an open book exam, we spent wasteful time flipping notes so I ended up writing crap for the last 2 essays T_T For now I am just going to put this at the back of my mind to reflect on when the results come out (no use now right?)
After exams, I walked around campus searching for familiar faces and lookie there~ Azfan and Zat haha. So I sat down and just talked with them while they discussed on the next CV gathering. I am gonna be the cameraman =D hehe I am on the list anyways, suppose have to wait for confirmation or something :)

Had a nice webcam session with sis passing the mic from mum to dad and myself. Then I got a phone call from a dear friend! It's been way too long since we played catch up especially on the phone ^^ so nice to hear you again JJ~ we had a looong chat of over an hour. The last time I did that was back in NS! Thanks for always being there. Just so you know, I am not typing this just because you said you are gonna read my blog!!! xD lol it was just awesome~

Now then, exams are over, what am I going to do?
First on the list: clean room and house.
Second on the list: Clean Rocky (stinky needs a bath =D)
Daily task: vigorous exercise. I am determined to show some weight lost in this month!
Side project: jog to Jo's house during weekend (pending approval xD)

This has been my toughest semester yet, meeting head on with my other major's basics I know I have a lot more to learn but this is life. No giving up and no backing up!

cookin

haha so due to my mum's recent illness (not too serious she is recovering well) I have taken over to cook for dinners. Didn't pay attention much when I could before so there was a lot of "hmmm...try that" for the chicken soup and fried french beans on the 11th XD The soup was yummy but the french beans was a bit too dry, kinda over cooked the eggs haha. didn't know the stove well enough, fire was too big :P
Yesterday, dinner was 'lo' meat which had to be cooked from mid-afternoon to evening. There was the gravy which was supervised by my mum as there is 'agak-agak' for the soya sos and amount of water. Had a blast of steam direct hit my face in the evening when I was checking it. it was ouchie!!! Felt like a layer of skin was burnt off! lol!!! talor :P chopped up the meat then served~ (mum commented they were chopped 'fat' xD)
Fried ladies' fingers which was slightly burnt from using the wrong side of the stove O_o but still tasty ^^

will have to learn more cooking once my exam ends this Wednesday!!! :D

my hands still smell of garlic and onions lol! which can be a distraction when I was in the exams xP rofl~~

Miri Jazz Fest 09 - night 2

Yarr~~ On the 2nd day, I got to the hotel earlier in hopes of catching some bands during their sound checking...and I was in luck XD Got to see the South African group Jeff Maluleke perform a bit (went nut to the beats a bit with Georgie hehe ^^) Then after I reported for my wristband I went back and got majorly excited, it was dites 34's turn for sound check XD My jaw nearly dropped off when I saw Paul (from Alamode) and Quentin playing at the piano (owh man, fangirl moment enough for you?)


So I did what sensible fangirls would do...I snapped as many pictures of Quentin as I could (check my facebook for em) even with my lower quality phone camera (at least I had something :p) then I got Bal Bal to help me get super shots with his keng camera hahaha (lotsa love for the huge favour XD) He didn't seem to mind me snapping his pictures hehe. Of course I wasn't just gaga-ing at his looks, his skills with the saxophone sent chills down my spine!

I really love dites 34's performance at Al Fresco on the 7th, sadly I didn't get to see them perform on the 9th since they were the first band up =( which is why I hunted them down and found their myspace with their music! The live was so much more powerful but this is all I have now so have been listening to that everynight since Jazz Fest :) I love 4 miles, Take 26 and les petis poissons fous ^^

That night I was inside and couldn't hear nuts from the performances but I did get to see and greet many of the performers~ I even got to drop a line to John Neptune XD Got to say "hello" plenty of times to those from Alamode, they are so friendly and funny, going around with their camcorder haha~ I managed to get a smile from Quentin the short time he passed the area, he looked really tired tho =S

And so that night duty passed with the clowns coming in and out. haha, I remember one of the clowns took off his makeup, I couldn't recognise him but Jun shouted "It's the clown!" XD keng keng hahahaha. This time when we were allowed to go, it was the Thomson Big Band from Singapore performing (really big band, around 17 of them?). The finale was sweet~ Got to hear bits of each band perform ^^ but the Bombay Brass Band really took the floor, literally, they came down and paraded everyone out of the dome!!! It was fantastic! I would have loved to join the crowd but stay back instead, us volunteers went nuts and lined up with our own moves! hahaha it was really keng :D

On our way out to supper...I spotted a few of the performers just relaxing outside the dome, couldn't help myself, I asked if I could take a pic with em XD Awaiting the pic from Bal now weee~ as far as I could remember, in the pic was Paul Murch (Alamode), Pascal and Guy (dites 34) and... can't remember =_=|| will edit once I get the pic haha. It was great tho, got to shake hands with them ^^ [yea yea, was star stuck :P]

And during supper I got a pat on the shoulder from Pascal XD I found that really cool that he remembers me from the picture take~~ my biggest regret was that I didn't get to take a picture with Quentin T_T I saw him ordering some food but...an MTV shooting session was in between me and him T____T really should had a faster reaction then...now Ian can't stop rubbing it in my face that he took the same lift up =____=

(gee getting long huh?) I end with this. I stayed overnight then, slept near 4am after gaga-ing at the lovely dreamy pictures of Quentin Bal helped took (muaks) and fell asleep hearing an 'orchestra' going on in the room hahahaha. Would never forget this wonderful experience at Miri Jazz Fest!

Miri Jazz Fest 09 - night 1

Righto~ the first night on the 8th, I was assigned to gate control outside with Jun Jun, Min Thien (?) and Maneesha. We got on duty from 5.30pm with the ticket collecting and the tagging. It was great to be on the outside, at least we got to hear the bands play :) but I did get envious of those going in to see the performance.
The bands that night were:
Double Take [M'sian group, the singer was amazing!],
Bombay Baja Brass Band [upbeat UK group :)],
John Neptune's Steps in Time [Japanese music] and
Alamode [Aussie band x)].

Time went by slowly, strangly during the peak times like 7pm, 8pm, 8.30pm ect. It seemed like 30++ people have gone pass and only roughly 5minutes passed, we were so =o= by the slow time. By around 10pm I believe, I started swaying to the beautiful music flowing out, it was John Neptune's Steps in Time, owh the Japanese flute~~~ I was allowed a quick 5minutes break to skip over and watch the performance x) I really treasured those 5minutes :)

Finally 11.30pm rolled over and Miss Jina gave us the signal and we ran to the dome XD Alamode was playing!!! They rocked big time! It was such a blast to be able to sit there and listen to them, amazing trumpet and saxophone play by both Paul-s hahaha xP After the show was over, I got a ride home to freshen up for the next night [many many thanks Bal~~]

Jazz Fest here we come!!

It has been a wonderful night :D First the whole group of volunteers met up at the Park City Hotel for the briefing on the Jazz Fest then we got to see a band rehearsing and just my luck, it was the band playing Japanese tunes xD John Neptune's Steps in Time is the band name if I am not mistaken, the Japanese flute was owh so beautiful, I was entranced. Hope I get to hear them on my break time XD
Then we headed out to dine and got a taste of what is to come for the Jazz Fest. Upbeat music by the Bombay Baja Brass Band from UK and absolutely sexy music by Dites 34 from France. I am sure many girls will agree that the saxophonist [Quentin Biardeau] was...hmm, if left to me to describe, seemed like he came out of a fav manga/anime of mine, young, good-looking, quite soft features x)

I am sooo going to enjoy myself to the fullest for the upcoming 2 nights, too bad can't stay over at the hotel with the others but will make do with what time we have together :)

yup, I am talkin bout last minute attitude with assignments. I never liked it but why is it human (student) nature to procrastinate for as long as we can before we hit the due date? I wouldn't want to go for another 2k law essay in one day spin ever again that's for sure @.@ will have to better manage my next dunno-when-but-upcoming assignment haha.
A lot to look forward to this week x) first up is in 24 hours hehe, then the Jazz fest and of course there is meeting up with Bal again =D yup yup~~ gonna do lotsa pre-work before Thursday so I can enjoy this weekend ^^

feeling a little crushed at the moment... I know I am being greedy joining as many activities as I can this year and I knew I would hit a boundary where my parents just won't allow anymore...

I knew, I saw it coming, yet there was this small hope that I could just join 1 more. It is something I am passionate about and I suppose that makes it even harder to make the decision to back down.

Was taking my usual stroll with Rocky just now and was mildly surprised with the very clear night sky. I could not remember the last time I looked up and saw so many stars out and not a puff of cloud in the way.
The moon was another sight. It was crescent, in its first quarter and beautiful. It felt nice to just stare up; pushing the other tasks aside..

The days are getting heaty-er and another haze is on its way so do take care and drink lots of fluids folks~

hmmm, so I haven't updated in ages. Been lazy, it's part of student life. Into 2nd week of study week now and my progress?

Yeaaaaah, so much for study week >> I know I know no excuse for being lazy. I spent the first week doing nothing. The past 2 days on the 1+2 on the list and today was suppose to be for my Fin but last night had a sharp pain in my ankle so mum took me to doc's to check it out. Got meds to repair and strengthen the tendons so hope all goes well but doc warned that that ankle needs extra care now since it's the 2nd time sprained =(

Pissh, enough of that. Dropped over at the Luak Mini Mart and guess what was there? =D

gah, when raining be more alert and don't drive 'fast' =_= lesson on the road, even if you are right doesn't mean the wrong will admit. Now even those driving straight have to 'give way' to those turning (yea right you little...) especially when they claim they 'didn't see you'.

After recovering from my cough..I went and got myself into another silly situation..me twisted me right ankle againnnn >< Thankies to Bal, Ian and Ham for the initial first-aid =) I can walk and all now but still swollen like like...what Jun said, like a bun haha! Got it checked by a Chinese medicine man (he made imprints on my foot O.o) Hopefully can drive meself to campus on Tuesday haha. Owh owh, mustn't forget, many thankies to Jun Jun for letting me squat at your house ;D

Anyways~ It's been a whole year since my own O-Night, now I feel old :P Time and gone and passed and this week felt the longest yet! Couldn't do much after the twist on Thursday but the ending to O-week felt great on Tribe Nite, the tribes really showed off what they could do in the little time they had, really impressed with what some of them gave us :D Good to know both sides of how it works ^^ hahahaa, hopefully can join and make the next O-week a bigger bigger blast =)

Though I wasn't there all the time, I am proud of me little tribe, a little tribe called Horas for foundation week [Horas, We Can! xD] And for those in Hakuna Matata, seeya fellas around campus~

worst cough I have ever had. new virus hitting my system from my tooth... never have I coughed till tears freely stream down and mucus secrete non-stop. I am over-drugged and have over-spent. stuffy and some environments (new classrooms =_=) affect me very badly. please please may the worst be over....

teeth story

right, so I visited the dentist today after 2 weeks of not knowing what's up with my current growing wisdom tooth. First my gum opened up and it popped up just a weeee bit. Then my gum closed in on it =-= Took Xray of my whole mouth to find out bout the rest of my teeth as the dentist poked around my mouth guessing there is more than just that wisdom...

Well, I always knew I had a missing premolar and that I could never count the number of teeth in my mouth correctly.... The truth is revealed today!! Turns out, I got 3 milk premolars (which is why they are so small) on the upper jaw. Keng right? haha. Hopefully they can last the rest of my years without dropping :P

And my current wisdom prob, the gum has inflamation probably coz of the bits of food which dropped in (I have been trying to eat on only 1 side of my mouth for 2 weeks now =_=) so now I am on antibiotics to clear it and lessen the swelling. Since the tooth is growing towards the other teeth slightly, it has to be removed =( Can only get that done during semester break in April >< My other still hidden wisdom tooth is even worst T__T it's completely growing towards the other teeth and dunno when will it start to surface!!! Aiyaks man...

Got 2 small decay spots so got em cleaned and filled (molar and milk premolar >>) As always, I still love visiting the dentist :) the drilling was nice~~ no numbing required fellas, no feeling at all hahahaa (dear doc dentist o, I am not brave lah, just like the drilling feeling tho there was none this time XP)

ahaha, I know, I have been lazy to update again :P sooo~ the floods got worst after CNY but it's been 3 days without rain so far so things are looking up :) guessing that Curtin's lakeside bridges are still unusable tho. haha, here is a lookie from last week~

Exams are coming up on Wednesday~ am I ready? Almost. I am 50% there, gonna get another 25% done today and the last 25% on Tuesday is the big brush up. Yosssh!!!

In Curtin for summer course... update!

Ahaha, yea, been a while since the last update. Well here I am =) I am currently taking summer course for a higher degree of Accounting known as the 250. Been having 10 hours of class a week, 4hrs, 4hrs, 2hrs for 2 weeks now @.@ The workload is still bearable and under control as long as I do before hand =)

As most of you know, Malaysia is going through strange continuous rain for the pass weeks (barely had enough sunshine to dry clothes in a day).
Curtin Sarawak campus area is the worst I have seen since the whole area are either drain or lake-connected-to-river. So what do we get?

Gilar eh? The whole pathway from the apartments to the campus is under the water O.o I seriously didn't believe my eyes until I walked all the way to the area after G3 (and it was still raining). The condition hasn't changed for a week plus now. Really wonder (and hope) that the water level will go down before the new semester starts *imagines the shocked new students looks* not a good image.

On the bright side, CNY is coming soon :D and we have a whole week off from class ^-^ thankies and hats off to the lecturer for fixing the timetable for us. Domo arigatou =D

first of

First day of 2009 ^^ and the day is almost over haha~ still here it is... Happy 2009 XD
Lets see~ I actually had fun this New Year's Eve, the first time I went out with friends to a countdown! You guys rock! I really appreciate the surprising call out =D The call was HoneyBee asking me if I am free to go out to SOHO for a buffet with her family (after my dinner too! lolz) so my mum drove me up there (many thankies mum :D) I got there and was surprised by the atmosphere of the place, kidda bar-ish, dark with flashing lights haha. I didn't eat there so can't rate the food but... they had buckets of...


lolz, 350ml bottles, 5% alcohol :P so with dear Shu Na beside me (welcome back dear) and HoneyBee in front of me, I drank up + eat the fruit~ haha, I didn't even reach the tipsy stage (after 1.5+ bottles) when HoneyBee went high. So cuuteeee!!! We took pictures~ swayed to songs~ and laughed...hard XD

Roughly 9pm+, fernleaf and Orange came and we all went to another place, it was a erm cafe (with a live band and all). Sat, drank tea, chit chatted, laughed and waited =) the fireworks were berely seen but it was great hanging out ^^ The last day of 2008 was a blast.
